# Privacy policy

NewYorkHairRemoval.com is an independent editorial guide. We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising trackers, and there are no user accounts. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact or provider forms, plus aggregate analytics about how pages are used.

## What we collect

**Information you send us.** If you submit the contact form or the provider claim form, we receive the name, email address, and message you type, plus any optional details you add (business name, phone, website, neighborhoods, services). We use this only to read and reply to your message, to process corrections, or to discuss a provider listing. Submissions are delivered to our editorial inbox by our email provider, Forward Email, and are not added to any marketing list.

**Analytics.** We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which are not — for example, how many people open the comparison guide. This is aggregate measurement, not profiling: we do not use it to identify individuals, we do not run remarketing or advertising audiences, and we do not sell or share the data. Google sets cookies and processes an abbreviated IP address to provide this service.

**Server logs.** Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

## What we do not collect

-   No accounts, passwords, or logins — there is nothing to sign up for.
-   No payment details. We never take payments from readers on this site.
-   No health information. Please do not send medical details through our forms.
-   No sale or rental of personal information to anyone, for any purpose.

## Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies for personalization or advertising. The only cookies come from Google Analytics, as described above. You can block them with your browser settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics cookies does not limit any part of the site — every page, profile, and form works exactly the same.

## Third-party links

Provider profiles link out to businesses' own websites and to Google Maps so you can check current reviews. Those destinations have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Following an outbound link means the destination site, not this one, decides what it collects. We also do not receive information back from Google about which reviews you read.

## How long we keep things

Form submissions stay in our editorial inbox as long as they are useful for the conversation or the correction record, and are deleted on request. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' standard retention. Server logs are retained by our host on their rolling schedule.

## Your choices and requests

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email [hello@newyorkhairremoval.com](mailto:hello@newyorkhairremoval.com) and we will respond. Because we hold so little — essentially just the messages people send us — these requests are usually simple to fulfill. Residents of jurisdictions with specific privacy rights (for example the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA) may exercise those rights through the same address; we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.

## Children

This site is written for adults researching hair removal options and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
